I built this a few years ago and thought I'd share it here as it'd possibly have some uses for ya'll as well as maybe get some additional creative ideas going.
It's a lift I adapted from a Import in bed hoist that's made to mount on the inside of your truck bed and over the wheel well.
I didn't want to mess with a permanent mount and build supports down to the frame etc, so I adapted it for use w/a receiver hitch.
I've got a receiver hitch in front and rear of my '05 2500 and plan on putting on on the side of my rear bumper when I make it and they can be easily added to trailers or wherever you feel the need to put them.
The lift extends as well as swivels with lock outs for both features and it stores fairly compactly as well. I plan on adding a cable pulley and hand crank to the top in the near future to further extend it's uses
