that model echo is a great saw. its not a hot rod but itll always be there for you. its not a 100% pro saw but its close. ive owned lots o saws and while its not my favorite (thats a 372 xp) it is a good medium duty saw that im proud to own.

Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner,Been really busy at work, long days.Originally, the 4400 was bought to cut some paths on property we were to buy in Maine. We didnt but the land and The saw only saw occaisional use .However it was started once a week and stored in a clean, dry location. As of late ,with our moving to the woods of R.I.[?] ,I anticipated using it more ,but Ive since purchased some other larger saws, and the 4400 does not see much use except for being run once a week .The 16''bar was bought to do small work and is not seen wood as well as the chain. The saw is approx.2years old but looks new.The 20''bar and chain look new as well and only have seen 5-6hours of use ,Maybe 6-8tankfuls ,thats all.Compared to other saws that I have seen on the site described as "Like new" Mine is as good or better. The price new was approx.400 with the 20"bar 16" bar ,spare air filter ,spare 20''chain .

Sounds like a decent deal,

but most of the folks here at AS don't exactly rush to buy Echos. Wedge summed it up nicely.

they dont have the name like stihls or huskys. they are however gaining popularity among landscapers and firewood folks like myself. they are far from junk homeowner saws like poulans homes ect.
