What the difference and why bring in a saw nearly identical to one they already have.

Well 3410 is out now. Could it be the 3510 was just priced too high and rather than cut price they slap a new model sticker on the same saw with $80 cheaper.

It is a riddle

The engine module and the piston both have different part numbers
The coils have different part numbers, They are both digital as opposed to analog I guess but the advance curve likely is different.
The auto oiler is different though I don't think either is adjustable.

As for the weight I have their 361p and upon dumping out the fuel mix and bar oil to the best of my ability it weighs 9 pounds one once on a Toledo honest weight no springs scale with an expired inspection sticker. The owner's manual says 3.8kg 8.4 lbs

This source to buy one puts a link to the service data so save what is there now and compare to the 3410 later if they still list this stuff. At least for my saw it kind of gives you an idea of the advance curve. https://www.sawsuppliers.com/products/echo-cs-3510-16-chain-saw-16-bar-chain

It is a short stroke stratified charge design. I am not so sure I find that preferable to the open port with catalyst in this size.

The 3410 replaces the 310 while the 3510 replaces the 352.

Echo's press release for the 3410 says it has 1.7 horsepower.

Echo's Non-US websites list the 3510 as having 2.02 horsepower (converting from Kw).

Weird that they are both 34.4 cc - maybe its like 590 and 620 power difference but both being the same cc's
