I just bought this part on Ebay..Supposedly it's a fit for a conversion.. Around 30 bucks total including bearing and Rim..Looks decent.. Anyone ELSE try this?Screenshot_20220222-224159.png

UPDATE. The Rim Drive and Clutch Drum ARRIVED late this afternoon..USPS mail lady sucks.. She does not want to do her job SO it's been sitting since MONDAY at the post office.. I called and the Boss lady and her husband made a Special trip to my house to bring it..The Post Master is a super lady and SHE can't fire the Animal who is so lazy, insolent and hateful..The union protects her I guess..USPS has gone to the dogs around here.. BUT Maybe the GOOD news is.. This thing LOOKS GREAT.. I'll try to get it on the cs590 tomorrow and give it a try.. IF it works well I'll be getting one for my cs352. I do NOT like a SPUR drive..I can't imagine WHY in the name of Venus they make those things..Just crap..10 bucks more per saw and SPUR drives would be history..I'll update later..

Where can one find a rim and sprocket for a cs352?

Update: installed drum and rim drive on cs590. It's vest to remove the bar, blow it saw off. Lay it on it's side clutch UP for easier job. MY Review goes like this FIRST. It's working BUT the drum is much lighter. The walls are almost 50% thinner than the Echo part I replaced. The drum shaft bearing looks good but appears to be a bit heavier. Thicker metal on the ends HOWEVER it fit perfectly. Still I used the OEM bearing that was on the saw. Caution. CAUTION. As noted the drum has cut outs on the back. NOTICE how the old drum comes out. If those notches are not lined up the new drum won't go all way down and the E-clip won't go on. I DID GREASE the needle bearing but caution, to much and the drum clutch night slip. Could even heat up. The brake DOES hold. As far as price 4 stars ( could have been a few bucks cheaper). QUALITY 4 stars (could have had thicker metal). USEABLE: 5 stars so far (it's doing a good job). LONG LASTING prediction: 3.5 based upon being compared to and being thinner than a small poulan SRUR drum. CONCLUSION: At my age and light work load it might last ME a life time. UNKNOWN factors. Due to the difference between a SPUR and A RIM drums build and DESIGN, it COULD BE the rim drum vy design, is lighter. If so my assessment by comparison of two different types is flawed. Notice the photo shows the top of the Rim drum is raised but the Spur drum is flush That might effect design I'm VERY satisfied at this time and glad I made the change This gives me a quick way to change from .375 chain bars to .324 and use which one i want between the cs490 and cs590. When working brush or flush cutting stumps sometimes a cheaper var chain combo is good. Also one NOTE. Removing the Eclip by covering it with a rag you seldom loose it BUT going back on I use needle nose pliers. One point in the end of the crank and one on center of the back of Eclip. ALSO I secure the clip with Dental floss so IF it goes flying it won't get lost.
Cut the floss AFTER Clip is installed. My trick in photo below. I keep Dental floss and needle nose pliers in my CHAINSAW tool box. Hope this information helps someone. Have a great day EVERYDAY. Let that be YOUR choice. Anger, hate, fear, or worry, weakens a man. Be happy it pizzes them off. 😃 Screenshot_20210903-204508.png

You will not be able to use 7 or 8 tooth .325 rims with the size of the spline. That is my understanding as I have the Dolmar with the small spline. To each their own but I take the 8 off every time I mount it. Of course .325 on 60cc chainsaws is not popular around here.

Thanks for the dental floss tip.

I run 3/8 chain and bar. The cs490 is .325 drive. I haven't looked to see IF a 3/8 rim will fit. If im not mistaken there are 3 sizes. S M L. My guess is it shouldn't be complicated to find BUT I haven't been looking. Maybe when I get Play time I'll check that out. The Rim kit for the cs352 is in transit. That's exciting. Someone with PLENTY of time and a lot of parts might be able to compile a list of "interchangeable", Brand to Brand, Model to Model clutch drums. I would not be surprised if some of them would interchange. Poulan Husqvarna for sure. Echo maybe with ?????. I've been busy all day and im STILL not done. There are 2 flats (slow leaks) on farm equipment that are waiting my attention and a couple small engines plus a few trees. I never dreamed how hard a retire can work. Buneas dias
