Depends on the condition of the saw for value and who is selling it. First,They weren't nearly as rare as people think they were.
Problem now is parts are hard to get to keep them running and expensive. The ignition systems are prone to issues, pretty normal for av mounts to be broken or super soft. Cylinders etc all high priced.
I have 2 of these saws, one I bought that needed some attention for $600.00 and turned out the ignition system was bad, the second I got on municibid, it's in excellent shape, paint isn't even hardly woren off the original bar for $150.00 last year. I'd say I got screwed on the first one, but that was my fault for believing the guy I got it from and not inspecting it properly right after i got it. If nothing else I got a decent supply of parts out of it.
I digress, if you're using evilbay as any sort of marker they arnt selling above the $600.00 price range. I have several saved I've been watching that keep getting re-listed at $650.00-800.00. Not all of them are real nice though.
Here are a few pics of my latest one. Need to find a nice decal set for it, I did manage to get an outside dog for it since I got it

If it helps at all, I traded a McCulloch PM800 for an Echo 610EVL, both saws were in pretty good shape. Mine 610 is the one in the middle.

My buddy stopped by yesterday, I should have taken a picture of that echo it looked brand new. Said it runs like a top, it's a heavy saw but pretty cool bet it has torq in the cut. He had his new saw with him... just picked up all most new MS461 that had less then 1 run time on it.
