Any one use Edelweiss static rope for accessing trees SRT? I found some for a good price(10mm)and is considering buying 200 ft to use for a dedicated tree accessing rope. Its recommended for cavers, any reason it wouldn't be good for trees? It's not completely static, but is designed to take a factor 1 fall.(what ever that is)

That is considered a static rope. It was designed for caving, so it will probably keep fairly clean because they probably have a coating on it. The coating maybe slippy until you use it a few times. I dont like skinny ropes myself but it would probably do fine. Should have good abrasive resistants.
