I have a few of these big boys growing on my property in California and they stand right where i would like to put my house but like a true California mind state i don't want to kill it, for no reason. If they are to come down then I hope it be used for something other then fire wood. Heard of the Aussies getting wild with it and actually milling them, no Portable Pete with a pop up mill will even work with Eucalyptus wood in my area. Been doing my research and this is no easy task but i got some time to get everything all planned out but the first step is to identify your species to then determine the use for it.
Here are some pictures of the little guys down closer to the bottom of the hillIMAG0240.jpgplan to turn these guys into poles for a canvas tent.
Here is a closer look at the bark, it doesn't go the full length of the trees.IMAG0235.jpg
Here are some of the gumnuts that i found on the groundIMAG0238.jpg (sorry about the quality, get a better one next time if this one is no help)
This is a look at the color and the new foliageIMAG0236.jpg
I hope that some one can take what I have and give me a conformation to what species of Euc' this is, from my observations I have high hopes that it is useful toward my goal.
Thank you for taking a look,
Nicky

suspect you got http://anpsa.org.au/e-glo.html Eucalyptus globulus blue gum there tho not 100% positive as only seeing juvenile leaf but the blurry fruit picture a good clue... If was me,,, I not mill as way to small and not save it as poor form and if left it will grow huge dominating landscape sox it fire wood or pole You will need to sort (kill) stump or will sucker regrow vigorously

Hey Nicolas, most members search the "recent posts" and will pick up on any Questions, no real need to multi post the same Q
on different forums to get your info. :)

Aussie members will carefully evaluate any Q on any subject and given incredibly well informed answers on wide range of subjects
including "Ozito Racing Saws", founding President Mr CHIPWORTHY, swinging cats in confined spaces and killing crocodiles and
venomous snakes with sub 42CC chainsaws. :crazy2:

Feel free to drop into the Aussie Dribble Thread anytime for further genteel discussion :drinkingcoffee:
