ArboristSite Lurker
We are looking for a Certified Arborist, or someone who is willing and able to become certified within 6 months, with at least 2 year’s experience climbing trees with rope and harness and carrying out pruning and removals to the highest work and safety standards.
You should be very confident pruning younger ornamental trees as well as larger broad leaf and evergreens.
Experienced bucket truck operator with a current BC drivers licence, clean abstract and air brake endorsement or able to obtain the endorsement within the first few months.
Strong tree identification skills and a thorough understanding of tree growth, disease and PHC techniques.
Experience in safe use of chainsaws, hand pruning tools, wood chippers, and stump grinders.
A confident communicator, able to talk with customers and a team player with the ability and drive to learn new skills.
Additional experience running skid steers, loaders and dump trucks would be an asset.
We are particularly interested in someone that is looking to build a career in the Arboriculture industry and would like to keep learning, advancing themselves and progressing upwards within the company.
Great friendly family company offering $22 - $30 per hour depending on experience, may be able to help relocation for the right person.
