Hey everyone, This is Mike Cross here from Tallahassee, Florida. On November 10, 2007 we are getting together for another OUTCCTT meet here in Tallahasssee. If you don't know, OUTCCTT stands for Official Unofficial Tree Climbing Championship Training Team
I am sponsoring the event and want to draw a crowd. It's called the FALL TREE FOR ALL and we are advertising hard for "Professional tree climbing demonstrations, kids climb, and family fun." Now I don't know where we are going to find professionals, but I'm sure some of you can make it. HA HA
If you love trees and the brother hood of having tree buddies, then you'll love this. We'll have a blast and learn a lot too!!!
Please Come! Any and all. My goal is to make it easy on those traveling. My wife is going to put together 2 different hotel options, my house is open for sleep, showers, or camping (we live in the woods.) Friday during the day we will set up and dry run, Friday night we can cook out at my house, or just go out to eat. Saturday the 10th in the morning we will kick off the Fall Tree For All. Saturday and Sunday Ya'll are welcome to stay again for more climbing or maybe a river trip. If anyone is interested we can try to get a small group outing to climb some 100'-130' tall long leaf pines on a lake edge. I've climbed these trees before, by myself at sunset, brought dinner up the tree with me and had an awesome view.
I am going to try and pull as many local tree guys/ arborists as I can along with vendors and sponsors and also lots of people and children.
We will have:
T-shirts
Saplings for kids to take home and plant (Thanks to Timothy Roop)
Educational coloring books for kids
Food
Bounce house for children
Dude in a tree costume by the road flagging people to us
the list will go on as we collect donations
If YOU don't come we won't have an event, so come one come all!!!!!
Thank you for reading this and please call me with any questions,
Mike Cross
