Come on you people.
I have to go into a meeting tomorrow.
The foundation of my argument is to keep Contractors out of Public Service when a Public Service already exists.
Especially if they are not paying prevailing wage, knowingly employing non docs., and claiming on their web sites, yellow pages, etc that they are ISA CA, ISA members.
I agree with the need for Muni's to hire outside contractors, if there is a need to do so.
However, if they lie about their credentials and the ISA has sent them a Cease and desist letter, which I have a copy of, do you think the Public Service should fire that company?
Let a contract out to a real credentialed business?
What about the Management Team that knew this was a questionable business to hire?

Jeez, sounds like a guy could wake up dead in a racket like that!

oh joy!

My heart always gets warm and fuzzy when I hear a government stooge give a lecture on morality.

That is the most inane response to a serious question I have ever received.
Responding with quotes...
Why not reply with,"Don't Worry, Be Happy."

NOT!:hmm3grin2orange:

Nice try though.

Ha, got me! Just checking if your man-suit is on. I see what you are saying. I was a Tree Climber for the city of La Mesa, California from 1988 to 1992. I freelanced for about 8 years before that. Got my cert. treeworker #wc-449, and when I got that city job, I felt like I was in retirement school. I wanted to go climb and go. They told me I am not to work more than my superior. Got off work everyday at 3 and went to all my side jobs after work. I would bring a Louise L'Amour western paperback with me and we would park our trucks in the back of a park and 'hang', only took 4 years to get so fed-up. But, when they sub out, you gotta have all the cred.
Jeff :)

I think you have it right. The municipality should fire any company that hire illegals and provides false credentials so they can get the job. Then go out and hire another private company with good credentials and documented employees to do the work. Municipalities that hire private labor nine times out of ten equals savings for the taxpayers. Unless the private labor is some crony of the municipality giving out the work.:dizzy:

whatever you need to do i guess.
