What's everyone's favorite engine? I really like the 366 big block 3116 is probably my favorite and actually like the 8.2 detroit on flat ground...

How's the dt466 on fuel? My grapple is a 366 big block and looks like it's averaging 6-8mpg burns through plug wires but they take 10 minutes and 30 bucks to change and pulls fair loaded

19 liters? Hell I bet it smokes the tires loaded... man how bad is it on fuel?

How much is the power difference I guess gotten used to struggling along

Night and day different. My dt466 will run down and pass the 366 loaded the same weight going up hill. Hills I go up in 1st or 2nd in 366, I am in 3rd or 4th gear in the dt466

Man it seems I'm constantly "getting ready for the incline"

Favorite engine period... Cummins 5.9l with a good dragonfly. Enough power to haul most anything or you can stick it in some **** Chevy and pretend you own a truck.
Both of our work trucks have them (after I fought to get them) and its my favorite engine to work on to boot.

Not a large one, works wonderfully in ours. Sips gas when running the bucket and accelerates Damn good also.. but we run f900s with auto transmission on the bucket and standard on the loader, so I don't know how it does with other frames..

A hamster and wheel would be enough power to move a truck down there on the flat lands.

I'd love an auto in a bucket especially when laying plywood
