Sadly, that is mostly true. Fortunately, at least in 'small town' America, there seem to be plenty of good folks left.I was hunting down some odd hardware yesterday, and I gladly paid a bit extra from the local store rather than going to the big-box. The convenience of having a good local place, that knows you by name and would work with you if need be, easily offsets dealing with the traffic & mess of going 'into town.'
