went to post office today girl working the window was telling another customer that her furnace broke last night was 14 out tonight going down to 1 degree repairman might be out this evening customer says she just had her tank filled today with propane $1,000 dollars (must have big tank.) she said if she keeps her house at 59 degrees it will last till end of march i said i keep my house at 74 during day 70 at night she says how can you afford that :jawdrop: wood baby she said that must be a big hassle foolin with a wood burner!!! i said alot easier than writing a 1,000 dollar check...booya loaned my space heaters to the girl behind the counter after i drug them out of storage and blew the dust off em,

I'm keeping my house at 70 and the propane furnace is staying off for the most part!

I just had a friend come over and help cut wood so I wouldn't run out during this cold snap! It's nice to have friends!

Yep, I split and brought in some wood today (it was 20º). Was a nice tension release from a sucky day at the (home) office...and I was figuring I probably save $50-75/week for an hour or two of work. Plus why pay $45/month for the gym when I have wood I can split

thats great man! lets see i think its probly 10degrees outside right now. my oil burner hasnt fired cuse i took it apart its 71 upstairs and about 80 in the cellar, and the floors are toasty warm ill keep my wood stove thank you

I'm going on vacation for the next couple of days, headed about four hours North to North Conway N.H. While most sane people would be happy to get away for a few days, all I can think about is having to put on the natural gas furnace during the coldest temps of the season!:angry2: Oh well I guess I'll have to do a little to put my mind at ease while I,m there.
