Fertilizing - do i need to be an Arborist?

Do i need be an arborist to Fertilize Trees, shrubs & lawns?

If so what kind of course, test or class would i need to take to obtain my arborist licence I'm located in Wisconsin

NO! usually the dept. of agriculture hosts the test, but check with your state.

Don't know your laws in Wisconsin, but in many/most states you only need a license for things like pesticides. (That word is used in its broadest context, which includes herbicides, fungicides, rodenticides, etc.)

And that includes the use of things like Round-up, which although available for sale to the general public, cannot be applied for hire without a state license.

Yes, very dumb, because excess fertilizer is far more harmful to the environment than excess Round-up, but hey...they never ask me before they make these laws...
