Thought id take the weekend off. Decided to give some much needed attention to my aleppo pine. Its been hammered on in the past. I came up with a 3 stage restoration project for it spanning about 6 years. Stage 1 reduce weight on lower part of canopy and remove dead wood. The tree had been lion tailed in the past. Stage 2 thin to even and reduce large limb in upper canopy reaching over house. Stage 3 remove older stubs. Spent about 4 hours and got about half way through stage one.

Aleppos are good here in the central valley being its a desert here and all. Its also the only tree on my property. Its about 50ft. It'd be a shame to lose it.

Tic Toc, the clock is speeding up

My favorite climb was in a Aleppo, was for Sutton in Carlsbad, on the beach, the very job that keeps calling me back out there. Hi up in the tree, over the beach, light prune, cool breeze and sunny, bikinis, found me a nice perch, illegal groundie sent me a freshly cooked carne asada burrito and a Jarritos orange drink, the best view in the world looking over that beach out at the ocean.............(big sigh)..........Califis

Soon baby, real soon.

Jeff, this is the same job that I learned and argued with Dean about lacing! I was to lace it, I wouldn't, looked good the way I did it, the HO agreed, he got paid,so all was well. Good day...GOOD DAY!
