Ya know, I'm truly grateful for you folks that live up there, as I sit here in shorts with my window open. 80* today, 60* tonight. The best part is that we get almost 5 months a year like this. then there is the 5 months of 90*+ every day, and 2 months that we need jackets.

How rough is ice on chipper blades?

I've never had any ptoblem with ice and blades. I think it would ahev to be real cold and hard to do any damage.
