I love it! Finally, I can keep the house nice and cozy without adding up how much it costs me for propane each night!!!

Thanks for all the help/ info guys. This site rocks!!

This is my first year too. It is so nice to set the thermostat where the wife wants it and not worry about when the propane truck is coming next :)

I agree that this site is absolutely great...thanks to all who help out us newbies and put up with our sometimes repetitive questions.

its a nice feeling. You guys have enough wood cut for your first winter? I had to fight it all last winter, then tore my knee up to boot.

8th year

Going on 8th year with my Woodmaster. Been a great unit so far. I have one size larger than yours. I think I paid $4000 9 years ago. Everyone told me I was crazy.

Fired up the CB5036 for real yesterday...workin' great, only issue is lack of hot coals in the bottom to keep the fire going, but will get that resolved today. I have around 2 cords to move to the woodshed which is by the boiler, start cutting in earnest next week. Wish I had donr this years ago!

I'm hoping I do. I have 3 24 - 27" elms that my neighbor cut down and gave me, 1 27" oak trunk, I bought 2 dump loads of sawmill blocks...got a good deal (I am guessing that is around 4 cord total...only got part of it stacked and measured at 2 cords), and then I work at a cabinet shop and we generate hardwood kiln dried scrap all day long...so I plan on trying to use up some of that too.
I also need to get out into the woods and get some of the downed stuff cut up and stacked.

Like I said....I hope to have enough.

I plan on continuing to pull from the dead stuff in the woods...there's quite a bit standing dead and more on the ground from just last year. I know it won't be as dry as possible because it wasn't cut and stacked, but it should get me through the first year and on my way to having next years drying out.

Then again...this is my first year so I really have no idea.

I've got between 10-11 or actually cords stacked and ready to go. I think this should be enough. I'm gonna start on next years pile now!!!

Cutting wood is addictive.:chainsaw:

I've got about 10 cords ready to go w/ another 3-4 on standby...or the start of next years wood. Fifth winter burning and it's paid for itself to include pex etc...
