I’ve been cutting trees since I was a teenager so kind of embarrassed I can’t tell. With no leaves and similar bark it’s tough. It’s fairly hard wood and splits very easy. I thought maybe Poplar but it’s hard, Oak maybe? Seems to dark to be Ash. First three pictures are one tree next three are another. First post on this site but been reading for a long time, thanks.

Having never split black walnut trunk wood, just limbs, I can't attest that it splits easy. It's always gnarly, twisted, and stringy. Quite a pain to split.
Scrape the bark with the edge of a knife, if it gets browner, it's walnut.

Definitely gets darker and has that Walnut look when I scraped it. All of them were pretty straight trunks with few branches. I cut them down as side work to widen a driveway and she wanted me to take the firewood too so it was a great deal for me.
