Sounds like a decent price. It takes awhile to get a cord of trees down, trimmed up and pulled to a landing.
We're setting a house near Havelock in a couple of weeks. We also did a house near Campbellford a month or so ago. It was when the big storm went thru, wind and heavy rain. I was heading into Havelock and a huge maple was across the road blocking traffic. An older gentleman with a husky was cutting it up and a couple of guys were pulling branches for him. I pulled up, fueled up the Stihl 260 and had at her for 20 minutes. Cops came by and said it looks like you fellas got this under control I'm outta here.

That's awesome. Cops saying it like that.
I did see some of the aftermath of that storm as my wife and I were coming back from Peterborough along #7 and saw some huge white pines and others toppled and lots of cut debris along the highway. Our place got lucky and no tree damage.
I went to start cutting at buddy's place on Monday and all this guy kept saying was that he sure liked my saws and how fast I was and how I sure looked like I knew what I was doing.
I did mention that the MS290 was bought brand new last year and was $550 also that I'd been cutting wood for over 30 years and he said "that's longer than I've been alive!" and we both laughed.
I didn't even fire up the 440 just sliced away with the MS290.
I'll be back there to get more. Pretty good guy and for $100/cord I can't complain.
