Hazelnut firewood
Thanks again Fellas for responding to my firewood question.Well I have needed to be burning that hazelnut wood for the last two day's as our natural gas furnace packed it in,and no issues I can speak of from burning it.It does not seem to throw a lot of heat but it is dry enough to burn for sure. Some heat is better than no heat,LOL!Most of the bark is falling off as I pick it up from the woodpile,so I gather it up and toss in.Those hazelnut trees are on my MIL's property and they send shoots up like wildfire around the base of the tree and need constant pruning to keep them in check. We really don't have much for hardwood in this part of the country, depending where you live in British Columbia you could be burning,Fir,Spruce,Pine,Alder,Vine Maple,Hemlock,Red Cedar,Aspen,Poplar,or mixes of all the above mentioned species.
