Nice splitter, looks like it hasn't been used much. Good luck with it. Awesome truck !!

I think I have seen that truck before, where you at in SC.

Good deal on the splitter, just goes to show if you look, bargains are out there.

Mudstopper, I will ask you a similar question, are you anywhere near Hickory, NC?

I Have never been back there, but I Used to drive for Hickory Spring's Portland, OR foam plant. Actually, I still do, but unfortunately August of 2016 HSM, sold the plant to FXI :(

Hickory Springs was a Great company to work for, maybe not Perfect, but they treated their people Well, I Really Miss the old company.

I Still work out of the same plant, but that is about all that remains of the "Good Old Days "

Doug

Thanks everyone.

JeffHK454- This was my old truck with 54in boggers, hence the user name.

Wow..that's a monster. Had a buddy who ran 54's on a off road buggy and it was amazing what those tires could just roll over....man they could find the weak link in your drivetrain though!

I am about 3 hrs from Hickory NC. I have worked thru there a lot. I used to maintain the rail line thru there.

I just picked up my first log splitter off of CL yesterday. A Huskee 35 ton with the B&S engine on it.
Got what I think was a fair deal on it, paid $900.00 for it. Changed the engine oil and hydraulic oil and filter today.
Runs well and works great so far.

Might want to remove fenders to save resale value. Wood seems to bounce off fenders from time to time, neighbors fenders are pretty beat up. Tires would take abuse and you could replace fenders for resale, unless you tow it.

I never broke an axle in that truck, but I did break the axle in this truck. A 5 ton Rockwell.

My buddies buggy ran 2 1/2 ton Rocks and 54's would bust stock stub axles like they were made of glass...he went and spent big bucks on Overson 47 spline stuff ! Here's my friends Jeep on baby 44" Boggers...before he went up to big tires.

I'll stop derailing your woodsplitter thread...
