Welcome to the site. Looks like a beautiful part of the world, and I can see that smile on your face in those photos, so you're in the right place for advice, bragging, and other essential activities.

Welcome aboard - I think you will like this place.

Great Photos but I still wince when I see CS milling operators on their knees.
I find using a remote throttle and handles higher on the mill, allow for a standing position, I'm then leaning on the wrap handle with my thighs and knees - makes it much easier.

thanks every one.

i try not to kneel. but some times it's just the way(where) the log is.

if i'm falling standing dead. i'll prep the landing zone, so the log is well up off the ground on top of other logs.

more often than not. i'm salvaging dead trees along the river. off the beach or from log jams. sometimes its hard to get logs up underneath.

does a hose clamp, count as a remote throttle?? or just cruise control??

Very nice pics . Love that aluminum plank ,beautiful clear red cedar .get any yellow cedar or are you too far south, don't really know where the cut off point is.

Nice pics!! Welcome aboard. You have some very nice, uniform boards there! Looks like you have finely tuned your techniques. Very well done!!
