So I've been working with this older gentleman, mainly spraying, tractor work, and occasionally functioning as his groundie. Due to a serendipitous set of events, I've been working with him more and more. Well, he's old, and all tore up, and more and more, drunk. So he let me climb a tree last week, and I loved it. Now I'm running up everything over 12ft tall. I can't contain myself. Now, I've always had a hard-on for cutting wood, but 50ft up in the trunk gives me a blue vane throbber, and I just wanted to share.:greenchainsaw:

I hear you brother. It is an all time adreneline rush taking tops out of dangerous trees. That said and without disrespect to your tutor, stay low and slow. So many times we hear about guys who hurt themselves or break stuff trying to go too fast too soon. Please don't become a statistic on the Injuries forum. Ask as many dumb questions as you wish. I know I have!

Oh and welcome aboard!

Welcome to our world...

Just be careful! The excitement of the BVT can cloud your judgment at times!

Yeah, I hear you. It gives me a blue vein thumper with an apple head...

I'm sure there are a few around here that has learned a thing or two from an old drunk... or two.

My granddad always like to say that there are a hell of a lot more old drunks in the world than old doctors...

I thought we all agreed the BVT was going to remain a trade secret.

all the HO's lurking on here will :censored: it all up.

BVT? Oh that's just a myth... We NEVER enjoy the thrill of blowing the top out of the tree. That ride is SCARY!! We're CRAZY for doing that sort of stuff!

(think they're believing it?)
