Was informed that the Sherrill truck would not exist after 8/9/04 in PA. I take my hat off to a lot of great memories of great saves.
I always looked forward to having to have some special piece of equipment for the next day and no one else had what I wanted. I'd call Tim Bushnell in the Sherrill truck real early and he'd say, "ya, I got what your looking for." OK, now where to meet up. It would always be some where half the distance. Some parking lot in some strange mall.
It was like being on a special extraterrestrial mission. Only a few warriors knew about. I'd get off some exit and go up over a hill, and there the truck would be gleming in the sun. Only those with special knowledge would know what it was all aqbout.
Or, on cell, hey Tim where are you, think Im lost. Tim would reply, "Look to your left, right here.", oops, gotcha.
And then the 'deal', get everything and of course empty my checking account on all the stuff I didn't plane on and always wanted. And all the good shop talk and stuff like, hey, are you going to the bla bla next week." "Sure, how do I find it?" Etc.
I'll miss ya Tim and all those special missions.
Thanks for et'al,
Jack
