After reading posts from other AS members I picked up a auto fly reel to manage my throw line while I'm in the tree. To those who are using one, how do you guys take it up with you?

I tried searching but mostly came up with older posts where the pictures were no longer viewable. I have a small pouch that I'm using for now but would prefer to clip it to my saddle.

Stuff that I want up with me, but dont want to take it up when I first get into the canopy, I just tie a slip knot at the end of the rope, use a biner and maybe a sling. Then its there when I need it. Just need to pull it up.

Same thing i do from time to time when it is suitable.

I try to be as efficient as I can (I'm lazy). One way to do it would be to take the end of your throwline with you,
it has your "auto reel" (I use a carpenters chalk reel) and you can tie on anything else you would like to take up.
(or if you are using a canopy anchor, attach it to the end of your climb line that is going to your TIP anyway,)
Once you reach your TIP pull up your throw line, reel and all the other crap you wanted.
Saves you yarding up all that climb line, which can be a bit of extra effort on tall trees over 100'
Another option is to attach one end of your throwline or climb line to a magthrowbag, and the other magthrowbag to the crap you want to bring up. You can lower the magthrowbag and it will capture the other one on the ground and haul it up. The magthrowbag will hold up to about 40#s for small stuff.

I tied a small piece of 4 mm cord to mine so I could snap it to my harness with a carabiner
