This is what I had in mind to tell him....I was going to telll him i was really anxious to climb and that I would work 7 days a week to learn how to climb. what do you all think??

Motivated by the oprtuninty to learn.
Can't wait to start learning.
Could we do some climbing tutorials after work, a weekend?
Could I borrow some gear so I can practice at home?
Could i get an old hank of rope so I can practice those knots at home?
One thing though, if you start learning things from books, make sure that the boss is open to new things. Some arn't.

Carry a small piece of Small Diameter rope in your pocket take it out at breaks ect practice tying knots.Let them see you doing this.
