Found this as I went through Dad's old toolbox he used for his 620 Pioneer parts. He kept our family fed for 3 winters working as a lumberjack between 1959-62 using that heavy saw. It still runs by the way, I will throw a picture of that in too. Some interesting stories about those times; how they used horses to move the logs around, the primitive living conditions in camp and the constant fight to stay warm at -30 or worse.

Cool old Stuff i don't know about you guys but older saws no mater how hard they have been beaten on they still look better than a new saw. ;)

Nice one

If I were a betting man,I'd put my money that the old veteran could still do a good days work. :)

Pioneer you right and it's in black and white, reading ones maintance manuals are extremely important for correct performance and durability , don't know how many times i've seen even pro cutters change to what they call fast angles on their sawchain and suffer the indigntey of being flogged by a well sharpened and correctly set stock chain or in many cases just a new chain.

The information in them has stood the test of time and no doubt all the knockers who know better than the makers of saw chain haven't.

Real good point Bob .Everybody wants a lightning fast race chain,to use for work, that doesn't work, long,or well.Something I heard about tilting at windmills. :)
