These are some pics that I resurrected from a previous thread. Thought some might be interested with all the inquireys about the 575.

Why wouldn`t I?woodsman said:I am thinking of a 575, but tell me, why exactly do you want to sell it?
Muffler is not even close. It has a baffle plate inside that runs on a perpendicular plane to the bar canted at a 45 degree angle. Porting this muffler involves some very invasive surgery and reconstruction. Fortunately, this muffler breathes well enough that the cylinder and piston modifications, (which are relatively abstruse), give excellent results that allow it to perform about the same as a stock 385, (about 0.6 hp less). This saw shines in two areas, fuel consumption and smoothness. This machine will burn about 5 liters of fuel per day in second-growth fir with square-ground chain.Freakingstang said:why cut a perfectly good saw in half? lol.
Now would be a good time to ask the pro's if the 575 has a same muffler as the 372's. Then I would ask if the 372's were the same as my 365's. Can anyone take one of the muffler pics above and mark on itwhat would make a good muffler mod? I want to mod the mufflers on both of my saws, but haven't seen a detailed pic. I think this might be as good as it gets. Thanks
