I picked some up over the winter and I like it. Not exactly sure why but it seems to be the rope I grab first. It's cheap, strong, knots well, feels good, seems to wear well and unless I'm climbing SRT it keeps me from wearing out my higher priced lines.

Did you have the 12 or the 16 strand ?

Yeah , I'm gonna order a 120 hank to try it out.
For the price i've gotta try it.
Usually i like to climb on arbormaster,
But this stuff is 1/2 the cost.
Less than .50 foot on a 600 ft roll.
Thing is ...
I've never used a 12 strand climbing rope before ,
only 16 strand. Not sure how 12 strand handles,
I've used it for bull rope, and rappelled on it. but thats about it.
Been thinking about trying some 24 strand type 11mm.
Not sure i'd like the small diameter line for gripping though.
(hands ache enough already)

This rope is manufactured by All-Gear. It can be found in the Ben Meadows catalog or on line at www.benmeadows.com
It is very close to Samson Arbor Plex 12 strand.
thank you brother, welcome to the site j

Well I got a 120' hank of this stuff a couple weeks ago to try it out.
Ive been climbing on for a while , and i gotta say it's pretty good for the price.

When making a long descent on a friction hitch ,It tends to twist more than the 16 strand ropes that i normally use. But its pretty good rope.

It looks like arborplex, but it is 100% polyester. Arborplex has polyolefin fibers in it ( like heavy fishing line ).

Still wanna give some 11mm a go.
