I'll keep an eye out for ya. What kind of budget have you set?

Good to see your first post is looking to find a classic big husky! ;)

Thanks Matt,

Ive got a couple of 1990 Husky 61 and a 1991 Jonsered 625, as well as a little 136 for house yard work.

Budget depends on what turns up condition wise, I got onto a tidy 288xp for $500 but it is on hold for another buyer.

I hear ya. Some people want top dollar for a turd and others are happy to sell a good runner for a song. Hopefully that 288xp sale falls through and you are next in line. Good price for a tidy running saw.

I used to have a Jonsered 630. Really liked that saw. At the time though when it died i did not have the cash to fix it so i sold it for parts. Recently bought a 2252 from US on here. I know they are a red and black husky but it makes me feel like i have a Jonny again.

This is the one that I missed out on:

24" is a good size bar in oz, in fact mine wear tsumara .063 bars, strong and well made, cheap too

i have a very nice 288 if you are interested , very strong ,great compression for $500 plus postage ,nothing to do to it except run it . My knees are crook so i am moving to lighter saws .

this is the 288 i am selling ,great compression ,runs sweet and oils well ,started 3rd pull after sitting on the shelf for 6 months (primed the air filter with a little 2 stroke fuel) , fitted with a stihl elastostart to save the fingers on those cold winter mornings . only selling it as my knees are crook (booked in for 2 knee replacements) ,already sold my 090 and 076 stihl . moving into smaller saws as weight is a big factor these days, keeping my pm 850 as it is my favorite and has been for thirty years or more, i'm 64.
