I think that it would be an "overly" easy way if it was used to GET certified initially, but not to stay certified, especially for some of the guys and gals in remote areas.
It seems that the time invested is on par with the .75 or .5 CEU per topic. Some were easier, like a list of trees, but others took more time.
The test method does seem more appropriate that a forum reply.
For routine weekly / monthly users of the online seminars, it may keep them more on track with updates than an arborist who attends a two day weekend seminar once per year.
So, for some arborists, it may be as efficient if not more-so.
