I'm trying to get a 1980's era craftsman chainsaw to run. I noticed the fuel line had yellowed and cracked. It appears to be the same as the clear silicone tubing you find in fish tanks. Can I use the same to repair or does anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks,
Rob

you might try a hobby store that sells gas powered rc cars, the one here by me sells some good line like what you described.
I'm sure you will get other suggestions....good luck.

No fish line won't work. I used a fuel line made by Oregon for my antique Echo. I think one of the sponsers of this site sells some line...Bob

I have seen and bought the clear fuel line from Tractor supply.
I have seen it at Ace Hardware as well
Any place that carries generic tune up supplies for lawn mowers and trimmers
HD and Lowes should have it as well

You need TYGON or equivalent fuel line... not any old plastic hose.. most real hardware stores or small engine repair shops stock it in many sizes..
