hi
i have a ryobi lawn hornet and i am having some troubles with it.
It was sitting for a while and when i pulled it out and tried to start it, it wouldnt.
So i first cleaned the spark plug and checked that i had a spark. All good. Then I discovered that the fuel lines were perished so i replaced them. I tried to start again and fuel just comes out the top of the carburetor. I have had the carb apart and cleaned it but it still wont go.
Could this be a problem with the diaphragm? I noticed that it was a little stiff

Howdy th3revolution,

I'm guessing your talking about a lawn mower here? Sounds like your float or needle valve is stuck open. I would clean the carb out and see if you can free them up. Wouldn't hurt to pull that spark plug and dry it off to.

Lawn Hornet is a weedeater Im pretty sure.

If you are getting fuel "reverb" out the carb, then Id say you were flooded, or the plug isnt firing under compression.

Try a NEW plug, gap it to 0.030".

Make sure the switch is ON, and try a couple pulls without choking, after your prime it. Always hold the throttle wideopen.
