Just got my new iphone and I'v been downloading apps. I found this one,"https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tree-fungi-id/id518284825?mt=8 but its UK based. OK now for dumb question of the day, does the US and UK share a lot of the same species?(of fungi)
Has anyone used the Dirr handbook app for tree ID? I don't mind shelling out the 14.00 if its worth while. This phone is amazing, it does everything, except allowing you to be heard while talking. I put it in,"a life proof case'', and everyone says it sounds like I am in a box when I talk and they can hardly hear me.

I can't comment on the app, but I'd imagine that it would depend on what your local species are, and whether they are common to the uk too. I'd imagine you guys have plenty of platanus, pinus, populus, liquidambar, quercus, salix etc... all trees which are also to be found in the UK. There are probably many types of fungi foudn in the UK that are also in the states.

Kind of on the same page, what other apps are you guys who have iphones loving?

Shaun
