I have a 1110 pioneer chainsaw with a problem, it's leaking gas out the exhaust port rather quickly. I beleive the rings are shot. Any ideas? I would also appreciate it if anybody has any piston rings for this model. Thank you.

Joe

Well Joe it is the same bore size as an xl 12 Homelite,1.75 inch.I don't know but it may one of those copies,or built off the same platform,so to speak.I don't have the foggiest idea about the gas issue.

I had gas coming out of my muffler when my tank vent check valve got plugged. When the tank would pressure, it would push gas through the carb and into the piston. Eventually, it got in the muffler. When I did get it started, it blew raw gas out and smoked like a bear. It was on a Jonsered 621.

Well I know it is uncommon but the seat could be damaged on the inlet needle or maybe just worn and the metering lever could be to high. A little makes a difference.

Thanks for the expertise, the vent hose was gummed-up, after stripping outer casing ( chain side ) i finally got to it and cleared the offending " guck " its now back to making it's usual loud. Thanks all.
