i want to give my AS family first shot to cough up one before i stoop so low to find one on evil bay:):),,, i really dont care what brand since it is only going to be used for about 3 hours a year,,, thats why i dont want to buy a new one,,, i have limited funds since i had to buy a new pressure washer,,, i have some useless green paper and some trading material,, let me know what you have,,,, thanks

IMG_0512.JPG I've got a couple echo HC-1500 trimmers on c-list, one might be sold though. $75 each. I think they're 20". I'm not real excited about packing and shipping though, maybe somebody else will come up with something better.

I have two; A Poulan Pro that runs fine, but has a few broken teeth (still works fine - I trimmed my hedges with it this year) and an Echo that I got in trade and I can't quite remember what's wrong with it. I'll get some pics & check out the Echo in the next day or two and let you know.

Okay, I looked the trimmers over this evening. Here's the rundown...

Poulan PRO PP2822, 22". Pretty good shape overall, but several of the teeth are broken off. It still cuts fine as I trimmed a dozen bushes with it this spring. One nice thing about it is that the handle pivots 90-degrees left or right to make off-hand or odd angle cutting easier.

Echo HC-1500, 16". Pretty decent shape. I put fresh fuel in it and it started & ran like a champ. The only issue I found is that the gasket in the fuel cap is bad and it leaks fuel when turned on the side. Again, it runs good, but it's been sitting for a long time, so the carb should be cleaned as a good TLC/PM effort.

As to avoid unnecessary time & effort on my part let me know which you're most interested in and I'll PM you photos and pricing. For the record, I would much prefer to sell the Poulan and would be willing to give a better deal on it if price is a large deciding factor for you.
