Gathered a little oak today

IMG_1651.JPG IMG_1652.JPG IMG_1653.JPG A guy I used to work with called a few weeks ago asking if I wanted some logs from a few trees he had cut down a while ago so I said sure I will come check it out.
First load I cut up to 16" rounds first. Second load we just used his tractor to load up whole logs mostly because they were pretty good size. Both loads together are just under 4 cords, all oak. Not bad for a little over 3 hours.

Wow. Nice score.
I love Oak, even if it dries slow.
Oak goes for about $350 a cord around here and it's never seasoned.
That will keep ya nice and warm, that's for sure.

This will all get sold. Wish I got $350 a cord for it though!
