Gear oil leak or diesel motor oil leak?

I can't tell if my gearbox is leaking or if my diesel engine is leaking? The oil is in the bell housing and burnt' so it is hard to distinguish for me?

we are going to need a few more details about your machine. But there is a very big difference between motor oil and gear oil. it should have a very distinct smell if its gear oil.
