Hi all,
BobL's mill with wheels got me thinking about making up a trolley for all my own crap. It seems when I turn up to a job I have to make about 10 trips to the car just to get all the stuff ready, and then there's always the one thing I forgot! and that other thing as well ;-)
What I had in mind was using a 2 wheel trolley and putting shelves on ut - sort of like a bookshelf, but with jockey straps to retain stuff.
Bottom shelf - 10L fuel tin, 4L bottle of bar oil, two stroke mix, boots and spurs
first shelf - 200t and 044, facing each other.
second shelf - rigging box full of slings, pulleys, ascenders etc.
top shelf - widgets box with files, wedges, chains, first aid kit and water. helmet hanging off front
right side of trolley - ropes
left side of trolley - bars.
In my dreams, at the back it would have a very small fold up table which when unfolded makes the whole thing really sturdy and not likely to tip and would be a place to sharpen chains and change bars, refill etc. I would transport it laying down in the back of my wagon, then get to the job and just roll the whole thing to where I'm working (often up or down hills). Anybody made anything like this before or have suggestions to contribute?
