I like the design because it is exactly what a splitting maul is supposed to be, a splitting wedge, with a handle!

I believe it was ash that I was splitting.

Nice! I really like the pick point on it for standing up logs. I find it really useful on my x27 vs the other mauls I use to stand up splits and it is not that pronounced. Dare I ask the msrp of that model? It's not as pretty as the other helko I think you've used but i like its design!
