been cleaning up the carbs on my stihl 031's seams i cant get the air outta the lines whats the best way to do this? they don't seam to suck it when the lines are dry any help would be appreciated thanks Chris

You likely have an air leak that is giving a weak impulse, or, your choke is NOT closing properly. The carb should prime in a few (say 3-4) pulls and the air will pass though, so long as the chokes closed...

I agree - you have a leak. I just finished rebuilding an 031 from a pile of parts (obviously no fuel in the system), and it "primed" and started in 4-5 pulls with the choke on. I'd replace the impulse hose and fuel lines. They are pretty cheap.
