hey guys are there any big arborist companys around littel rock arkansas. "bout to move up there. been working on grounds keeping full time for 6 years and cutting firewood and billets in the winter for probably 10-12? not new to saws but no exp climbing or working for a proffesonal outfitt. love cutting and being outside. just trying to stay out of a loading bay or delivery truck.

not to sure about the Little Rock Area, but a good friend of mine from Gentry AR just moved back there (from Milwaukee, WI area) to try and start up a tree co. and had little luck. He told me there are only 2 major tree services in his area, both major hacks (after seeing the style/quality of work in WI). He also made mention of all of the meth heads and crack addicts that will to tree work for about 200/day, just to get a fix. From what I hear from him, people in his area (North West AR) dont have the money, or desire to have tree work done until it is too late. Most of his work is removing dead trees, or removing dead/fallen trees from cars and buildings. Very little preventative maintenance, or pruning. But that is NW Ark.

I would get on yellowpages.com, or some type of search engine and see what is out there.

Good Luck!

Go to the ISA website http://www.isa-arbor.com/findArborist/verifyArbByPostal.aspx and enter the zipcode of the area you are interested in... This should be a good place for you to start , They will provide contact information for certified arborists in that area.

TCIA Website very useful for search

Take a look at the TCIA website and do a search for AR. I just did a search for Arborist companies in AR on the TCIA website. The good thing is that it lists contact info usually will link to a website if they have one. They list 2 in Little Rock and 1 in North Little Rock. I didn't check if any of the others are in that local area, but this might give you a good start. Best of luck in your search.
