Girdling roots

Would you guys cut these off kinda look like girdlers but i was just curious

NO. Roots do not girdle roots. They graft together.

I'd leave it alone and try to keep the mower off them.

What if you have a root going around the trunk? Still leave it be?

Depends on the age of the tree. Young tree cut the root. Older, mature tree that has adjusted to it, I tend to leave it. Every case is a little different.

Its pretty old i would imagine but leaving it seems to be the thing im no pro i just cut em down verry little knowledge with this portion of tree work

Most of the time I cut roots going around the trunk...root and stem tissue will not graft, that is where you get girdling roots. A more clear term woule be "stem girdling roots".
