Hell, everywhere! Even better when a chunk of wood goes flying at the offender and takes out a passenger side window. Thats when I lean back against the truck, grab a cold one, and watch the show unfold.

That tree needs to die--End of fight.

Wasn't you who cut it? Just joking Mike. Some ones going to end up paying dearly thats for sure. There seems to be lots of blame to go around too.
Oaks are sacred out here, and there is a lot of legal precedents in the HO's favor who owned the tree. Hope your doing OK out there Mike. Take care. Wade.

well it was said that side may never grow again!!! problem solved!

Only city licensed arborists who can show proof of ISA cert can work on protected trees in that city. I imagine the lady is going to incur some hefty fines.

I have a massive euc to do on the 30-31st- over 100' tall and 5' dbh- you're kind of job, Wade. Wanna join forces for this one? No crane access.

I'll get a hold of you Mike. Sounds like fun. I've been working on a massive stone pine for the last two days for
Chuck. Tomorrow I have to chunk out a 50 ft trunk thats left after removing all those broken branches. The worse part is getting all that wood out of the back yard. I hope their keeping the fire wood on that Euc.

City said the lady was not facing any enforcement action.

Most common law (if not in statute) allows a person to prune a neighbour's tree at the property line. I would be interested if the city ordinances defines what a person can do if a neighbour's tree infringes their property.

Instead of just over the property line in the back yard, what if it was over top of the patio or house?

Fortunately, or unfortunately, most legislation is written vague enough so that staff 'decision makers' have some latitude for extraordinary situations.
