:agree2: I have a Hud-Son. Good mills. built my own lube setup.

Of all the small starter mills i've ever sawn on, the Norwood LL24 is heads and shoulders above the others. I'd be looking for a used one, as it really did saw better than any other starter mill i've tried...

No offence to the Hudson guys, but that's the brand i hear more bad things about than all others combined. Perhaps they are getting better now?

Maybe i shouldn't have named them, as i was at a sawmill EXPO one time, and a Hudson guy bought my lunch that day... lol

Basic Mill

For the 10 logs every so often my Hudson Oscar 228 works pretty well. I get uneven results when I push myself, the mill and the blade. By then it is time to quit anyway.

I believe for someone actually into production work with a mill it would not be the way to go.
