Here are a few Linden trees I pruned today. I pruned a little out last year too. What do you guys think?

looks like a good job from here

where in PA u from i was thinking of holding a climber GTG around pittsburgh

I'm about six hours from Pittsburgh near Reading. Sounds like good times...I was reading your other thread. Chainsaws, beer and a bunch of dudes climbing trees, could be disastrous. Let me know when.

Looks better like this, so you can reference quicker.:cheers:
Just shows good pruning doesn't have to show. (i.e. cut, cut, cut.) nice to see quality moderate pruning. I like the way they match.

Know the poconos well, marked lots of timber there back in the day. Business is pretty good, I think it will stay that way the rest of the year. How's it out your way?

Thanks slayer, Got on your case a little hard on that last thread I apologize. Yeah I tried my hardest not to get sawdust on beemers.

They look good. I like lindens; we have many in my area. Sad part is many of them have been topped and convincing the customer to corrective thinning can be a hard sell at times, since they believe topping is the only standard pruning practice.

I know what you mean it's a never ending story. What I did was copy some literature on why topping is bad and then give it to the custy when they want to top their trees. Most of the time I can talk them out of it, if not then I don't need that customer. Sure as hell don't want my name on a job like that.

I've had some good success educating on proper pruning. Most people appreciate it when you explain what should and shouldn't be done to the tree. If the person I'm bidding insists on topping or even hard or extreme thinning, we walk away and thank them for the opportunity to bid the job, but explain we aren't in the business of ruining trees.
