It is Jan 04 with a picture of a pine branch with snow on it.

Wisconson? My wife is a Stevens Point grad, and her brother as well. Brother in law is applying to work there as a hall director. Are you a pointer?

Nice Article

That was a really good article. Very informative. Keep up the good work.;) Not tyring to kiss a@@, but it makes me wish there were more employers like yourself. Thanks, BB:p

Looks like Rip to me. NO stopper knot. The dude in the yellow helmet, who is that?

I couldn't find 'tetched' in the dictionary. Found tetchy, same thing I think.

Douwn south I've heard it said "touched in the head".

They guy in the yellow helmet is the President of the Geriatric Arborist Brotherhood International (GABI).

treetx,

Tom probably has his article in a word doc. or similiar...
Im sure if you asked him politely he would send it to you if possible. i dont know if it available online though

Yeah, GABI as in gabby, got that right. :D Great article, tho the title could've been Progressive Use of Gear, as there wasn't much about arboriculture per se.

I agree totally with Tom's methods of working in stuff like false crotches and leg scabbards and multiple TIPs; that's all worked great for me. I can move to most cuts but still find a good polesaw indispensable, so we differ there. Overall i was glad to get TD's inspiration to lurch and crawl more from traditional to progressive in my climbing.

This issue of TCI has a good From the Field article, much longer than most. I'll say it again--over a dozen posters on AS can and should be sending in short articles w pix. It's an easy way to make $100., and will get you heard way beyond this site.

The editor is really easy to work with--give it a shot!
