While attempting to replace a AV bushing on my 084, I made a disturbing discovery. One of the jug bolts had come completely out and was lying in the fuel tank housing. I've had them loosen a bit before and I torqued all of them not long ago. I'm suprised it didn't blow up but thankful it didn't. Would locktite be something I can use to prevent this from happening again?

Sure it would work, but you don't need loctite on the cylinder screws. Just torque them down to 15mn, or 11.25ft/lbs. They will hold - and no washers - the head of the screw has a tiny gripers on the back to lock the screw. If you do use locite, use 242 or 243 (blue). Never use the 270/271/272 series (red) as you won't be able to get them off without heat, and it's very difficult to get enough heat down the M6 bolt to actually break the bond (about 350-400 degrees of BOLT temperature required)

I'm not sure but it's got me worried a bit. I'll be putting this saw through it's paces before too long and I would REALLY hate to have it blow up on me.

As I said, this wasn't the first time a screw came loose. I even bought the tool to properly torque them yet one still came out. I may use locktite as a failsafe now.
