Still toying with the idea of doing some chain saw milling and looked at the granberg winch. Doubtless at my stage I'd probably need something like that to do any semi serious cutting.
Since the cheapest Granberg mill is the G777 at almost $300, I've been looking at others, such as the 7 Blacksmiths (https://www.amazon.com/7BLACKSMITHS-Chainsaw-Portable-Aluminium-Planking/dp/B07S8VP1MF), which seems to have reasonable reviews. I've seen a few used MkIII G777's for a lot less, but, so far none have panned out.
Question is can the winch be adapted to other mills than granberg? I think where there is a will there is a way, but, maybe someone already knows?
