Hello guys, I used to live in the Granite Falls Wa area back in the 80`s and was wondering if there is still a lot of logging going on in this area. In that time period the 2 companys that where the main employers where Scott Paper and Wherhauser, Scott had a paper/pulp mill in Everett. Also there a fair number of cedar shake mills in the area. I used to know a few people who cut shake blocks from some of the old growth cedar stumps and cedar logs. I never hear anyone talk about this area of Wa.I was just wondering what this area is like now as it has been a lot of years since i have been back up there. Thanks, Ed
